Computer Repairs & Upgrades

We can resolve many of your computer problems, whether they are caused by hardware or software. When we visit your home or office, the cause of your issue will be identified and a resolution sought. Most issues can be cleared up fairly quickly but we can take your equipment away to be fixed if this is more convenient for you, returned and set up for you again.

Windows, Apple Mac & Linux Experience

The majority of computers run a version of Windows. If you have a PC from the last few years you are likely to be running Windows XP or Vista. Released in October 2009, Windows 7 is the latest version you may be running or considering in upgrading to. We can help if you have something older (Windows 2000 or 98, for example) and need support or advice.

If you have an Apple computer, you will most likely be running a version of Mac OS X (for example, 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6, sometimes referred to as Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard). You may not have taken up the AppleCare protection Apple offer or this has run out and are looking for support. We will be happy to help! Recent Intel-based Apple computers can also run Windows and we can advise and support setting this up for you.

Perhaps you are interested in Linux (you may have heard of names such as Ubuntu, SUSE or Fedora) and are interested in running this on your computer but are unsure of where to start. Maybe you have experimented with Linux and this has caused your previous system to be inaccessible. We can advise on resolving issues such as these.


Data Recovery

If you have a hard drive, USB memory stick or a memory card (such as those used in digital cameras and mobile phones - there are various types) that no longer allows you to save data or view the data on it already then we may be able to recover the data from your device. The extent of data recovered will vary depending on the damage caused.

If we recover nothing, you pay nothing!

We will return your original drive or card plus any data recovered on a CD/DVD, memory stick or another hard drive as appropriate.

Spyware, Trojan, Virus Removal

Computer running slower than usual? Unrequested adverts popping up on screen? Prompts to remove a virus after paying for software? These are all common symptoms of a virus or other hidden spyware program running on your computer. They are designed to cause harm or monitor your internet activity and places your security at risk.

We can identify the root cause of these issues and remove them completely in most cases. Even if you call us out for a separate issue, we will carry out a standard check for any of the above to ensure your computer is running smoothly.


One-on-One Training & Tuition

Just getting started with a new computer? Maybe you would like to learn about more advanced features of a particular piece of software such as a word processor or spreadsheet. We can arrange for one-on-one training to take place to show you how to use your software better, tailored around your specific needs.


Network & Broadband Set-Up

If you have new broadband equipment but are unsure of how to set it up, maybe your existing network is no longer working optimally or are wishing to expand your network, we can check the components at your home or office to determine the issue or advise further.


Appointment Times

We aim to arrange appointments that best suit your schedule and realise that this can sometimes mean evenings and weekends. Please contact us to arrange a time and date.

We aim to fix all issues within your home or office without the need to inconvenience you by removing your computer or hardware. If the initial issue is quickly resolved, we will carry out standard checks to help prevent possible future problems. So you may find that though we solve one issue, we leave your computer running quicker than when we arrived! If we do remove equipment at your request, we will return and set this up for you again. Sometimes you may prefer to do this, particularly with laptops, so we can order any parts required, install them and return it to you.
